Food For Soft Hydrating Shampoo

I love Matrix products, so I decided to purchase the Food for Soft shampoo and conditioner. After using them, my hair felt soft and nice. However, I started to notice significant hair loss while washing it, and now I can see my scalp. I have no medical issues that would explain this change, and the only alteration to my hair care routine has been the introduction of these new products. My hairdresser is also concerned, as my hair was fine, but I had heaps of it, and now I have hardly any. I have stopped using the shampoo and conditioner and am trying to grow my hair back. I'm very disappointed!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I used to L’Oreal and it made my hair super frizzy and it made my split end worse and I used it for a little bit and then my mom got me the food for soft for Christmas and it made my hair so soft even after I blow dry and straightening without putting any product in it, it makes it so soft and I think you should buy this product

I've been using this for a year now. I use it once every 2 days. I have long dark brown hair. Before this shampoo I was suffering from lots of hair shedding. I'm talking like I barely touch my hair and I had like 15 strands in my hand. But this shampoo... THIS SHAMPOO. Is absolute GOLD. It leaves my hair soft and it reduced my hair shed like 90%. It's not sulfate free, I was using shampoos like that and seems that's what made my hair fall. But this shampoo is AWESOME. Please don't ever change the formula!!!!!!! Typically shampoo does not make my hair feel soft. Just shampooing, I notice a difference in my hair. I do use both the shampoo and conditioner. My hair was brittle, breaking off, and dry. I noticed a difference after just one wash and have been using the shampoo and conditioner and treatment mask for months now. I don't have to use very much and my hair is clean, soft, and hydrated and incredibly Shiney. It's no longer breaking off. It also smells good. I really hope they don't change the formula! This stuff is liquid gold!

My hair was so dry and breakable, then my daughter told me about this product. I bought the shampoo, conditioner and leave in oil. This stuff has totally changed my hair for the best it’s been in years.

I would not say it restored my hair because I had colored hair and it was perfect it did kind of made it glossy at some point and soft but it was still frizzy and the scent was the best for me a shampoo that smells good it’s perfect

I used this product twice a week and it helped control my oils while keeping my hair healthy and moist! It has a clean scent and it’s definitely affordable for a second buy!

This left my hair feeling greasy and gross. It is NOT a good replacement. Never again. Bring back Total Results Moisture Me Rich- that shampoo was amazing.

There is a light scent and it clarifies well with one use each shower. It lathers well and is a good price point for a salon quality affordable brand!

It's just as bad as regular store brands. Matrix is a pricey brand. I've heard of matrix, but this is my first time actually using it

I have a house with 2 teenage girls and myself in my 30s and we all use this, it works well for all different hair types and it smells so good. This is fruity scented but we don't mind it! It cleans the hair, doesn't leave behind any oily or greasy residue, my scalp doesn't itch or flake, just nice soft clean hair.

I use it on myself and my 2-1/2 year old whose hair is super tangly. This softens her hair and the smell is really nice too. Love this products!

My hair is currently dyed and even though it’s pretty thin it’s so hard to comb. It gets tangled easily. So I’m always looking for products that help with the dryness without making it look greasy. Once you feel the texture of this shampoo you already now the difference, it does feel pretty soft and smoother. Price is a little expensive but I would say it’s worth to try it.

I have used amplify by Matrix for about 20 years, never wanted to change, and started struggling to find it, so my hairstylist introduced me to Food for Soft. Oh my goodness that stuff is amazing .. smells delicious and my hair is so soft ! I have gotten so many compliments on the texture Of my hair and even the smell !! Can’t love it enough !
