Matrix Instacure Build-A-Bond Leave-In Balm for frizzy hair

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I've been using the Instacure Leave-in Balm (with the mask) for a couple weeks now, and have noticed such a huge improvement in my overall hair health! The Mask does a great job at conditioning etc, and the Balm just kind of finishes it off for you, helps get rid of any remaining fly aways or smooth your ends. I've used similar types of products and just had poor luck, they weighed my hair down and were sooo outrageously expensive. This is a very reasonably priced set of products that are great alone but amazing together. I'm so pleased with how much healthier my hair is looking! I would definitely buy again.

It is lightweight, which is perfect for my thin, fine hair. I think the product scent could be improved, not that it smells bad, it is just a very common hair product scent. I really like using this balm 2x a week. I love the gel-like consistency of the product and it covered my very thick hair nicely. I felt that my hair was stronger and it wasn't greasy like so many other products. I think this will be a great addition to my hair routine!

I'd have liked to try it for at least 2 months to really assess results but I only had about 3-4 weeks. It smoothes the hair and does feel moisturizing without feeling oily or greasy in any way. I have very dry hair and I think it helps split ends and I prefer this to the revival mask of the same brand. Overall a B+!

I like feeling the product in my hair and this one did make my hair soft and I felt it made my hair more shiny and show less breakage. I could make the amount given in the tub go for about half a year before I need to replace it. Price is not bad at all and is a great alternative for the higher priced bonding products.

I received both the Instacure Build-A-Bond Super Sealing Leave-In Balm and the matching Instacure Build-A-Bond Instant Revival Liquid Mask by Matrix, and I was satisfied with both products. I used them together, so while I can't speak for each product individually, as a duo, these products do precisely what they claim, while still being lightweight enough to not weigh my down or leave it feeling greasy. It left my hair feeling very soft, conditioned, smooth, and frizz free. For some insight, my hair is long, straight but with a slight curl at the root only, somewhat fine in density but with thick, coarse strands that retain far too much water after washing it, - it takes me 2 hours to blow dry, even after air drying - and I live in an extremely humid part of the US (south Louisiana). Since my hair is fine in density (meaning the number of actual strands is lower), I have to worry about products weighing it down, but I found that these not only didn't weigh it down, but also seemed to smooth the coarseness of the strands. I wouldn't typically use both a mask and a leave in product in the same wash session, but I found that using these products together provided the best results. The leave in balm was thinner in consistency than expected, so I did have to use slightly more than usual to distribute throughout my hair; however, it was not an exorbitant amount. I didn't notice any type of smell that I can recall, which is my preference as I don't like to use highly fragranced products on my hair or skin. I wouldn't go so far as to say this is my new favorite leave in product, but it does as claimed, it leaves my hair looking and feeling better, and it does make my hair feel healthier. I will continue to use this product, and I would recommend it to others who are looking for a conditioning, bond repairing product that doesn't weigh your hair down.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Matrix and Bzz Agent gifted me Matrix's Instacure Build-A-Bond Super Sealing Leave-in Balm to try in exchange for my honest review, but all thoughts on the product are my own. While I've used Matrix's Sleek product line previously I had never used their Instacure line, but was excited to try it since it's focused on repairing damaged hair. My 2a wavy hair has moderate damage from hair dye, previous bleach usage, and flat iron usage so I often use a leave in conditioner after shampooing & conditioning my hair to help soften it. The leave in conditioners I used prior to this were all either spray in or cream/lotion leave in conditioners, so I was intrigued and anxious to try this since it's a balm. After washing & towel drying my hair I removed the jar's lid and I immediately smelled a grapefruit/citrus scent that I really liked. Then I removed a dime sized dollop of the balm, and evenly distributed the thick gel like cream throughout the midlength to ends of my hair. After applying it to my hair my hands were not sticky at all, like they are after applying some leave in conditioners. I let my hair air dry and I did not notice any difference in fizziness, softness, etc, but I realize it may take more than once use to do anything. I've now been using the product for 3+ weeks, & I've been sure to use it every time after I wash my hair and I still do not see where it's made any difference to my hair. When I've blow dried and flat ironed my hair after using it, my flyaways are still very visable, and when I've let it air dry my hair is still very frizzy and my hair is not any softer. While the leave in conditioner has a lovely scent and I like its gel like texture, I do not see any benefits of using this product and therefore cannot recommend it to others.

I like that you can leave this in and it will do the work without you having to do anything extra. I absolutely hate split ends and having something that I can use that will help with that, is a lifesaver.

I have fine hair and this lightweight formula smooth and tamed my hair to give me a nice sleek look without making it greasy or weighed down. It's easy to use, has a pleasant smell that is not overbearing, and was an exceptional finishing touch to smooth sleek hair. it lasted all day. And is absolutely a go to for me now.

This Mattix Instacure Build-A-Bond Super Sealing Leave in Balm left my hair feeling soft, and looking amazingly healthy. Unlike other products that made me feel greasy, I couldn't even tell I had product in my hair. The real test came when my husband ran his fingers through my hair and didn't havw residue left on his hands. I am truly impressed with this line by Matrix's!

I have nothing but amazing results! I apply this Balm after the shower when my hair is damp. It keeps my hair super soft, helps control and reduce breakage and the smell is amazing. My hair is always frizzy after trying this product it has last me throughout the day to control the frizzy leaving my hair long and silky smooth . I would highly recommend.
