Smoothing Conditioner

What a disappointment and an inferior product. I have been using Mega Sleek conditioner (with Shea Butter) since back when it was called Sleek Look, so at least over a decade. I was thrilled when I finally found the Shea butter formula because it was the only conditioner that gave my hair enough moisture, slip, and sleekness without making it feel filmy or dried out like hay. Back before I found the old Mega Sleek with Shea butter conditioner, I had probably spent thousands of dollars trying to find just the right conditioner for my mixed hair type that I straighten regularly. This new formula with jojoba oil makes my hair feel filmy, limp, and (ironically) dry simultaneously. It’s yellow and runny, has an overpowering unnatural scent, and doesn’t absorb into my locks like the old formula. Worst of all, it doesn’t leave my hair bouncy, shiny, or flowing like the old shea butter formula. Why change a good thing? Why not split this line into two options to keep offering the old formula alongside the new? I now fear I’ll need to spend thousands more dollars in wasted conditioners searching for something else to replace the Mega Sleek conditioner I used to love. Bye Matrix; You lost my loyalty.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I have been using the conditioner and I noticed it makes my hair look more soft and it reduces frizz my hair is easy to manage after it gets dry, it leaves a good smell on my hear for all day I believe it works better in humidity weather.

Smells just like the hair mask and it lingers post-shower as well. The only downside for me is that I have very long hair so I basically used up half the bottle in one week. Unfortunately because of how much conditioner I would use I wouldn’t have this product in my budget for repurchasing but I still recommend it since it performs really well even at day 2 hair.
