I totally hate this hairspray! Bring back the original formula! I have been using this product for years! The “ new” formula is terrible!!!!!!! Build up , doesn’t hold, nozzle clogs!

Why change such a great product??????

I 100% agree with all the recent reviews!
I too have used this product since the 80, almost 40 years! And this new can design is absolutely the WORST! The nozzle clogs after every use and the formula is not what it use to be. The hold is not near as good. This literally was the best hairspray on the market but not anymore.
PLEASE GO BACK TO THE ORIGINAL CAN AND FORMULA!!!!!!!!!!

Absolutely HATE the new formula! Why mess with perfection? You had a great product and you had to mess with it and ruin a good thing. Bring back the original formula.

Why did you change the matrix freezing finishing spray? It was the absolute PERFECT spray that my salon used and sold to hundreds of satisfied customers. This new spray is NOT the same. Please bring back the original formula.

BAD SPRAY NOZZLE

THE Spray nozzle has been CHANGED ON the new cans and it CLOGS AND DOES NOT WORK LIKE THE OLD CAN HAVE QUIT USING THIS SPRAY AND WASTED MONEY BY EVEN BUYING IT WHEN PREVIOUS CANS FOR OVER TWENTY YEARS WORKD EXCELLENT AND HAD A DIFFERENT SPRAY NOZZLE WILL NEVER BUY MATRIX AGAIN!

Hate the new formula.

What did you do to Vavoom??? I used Vavoom extra full for years then found it had changed. Gone is the nice scent -- this replacement smells horrible. It has a cheap-perfume odor that is overpowering. The product doesn't work the same, either. It makes my scalp itch, doesn't hold well and has no shine. My new can went in the trash and I switched to another brand.

This has a real price for a fake product with a sprayer that annoints a 4 foot radius.

New Freezing Spray is Horrible

You really need to listen to your customers. This new formula is terrible. I also have been using this for several years and was TOTALLY disappointed in the new formula and will not buy it again. Why the change? Did you have cancer causing ingredients? If not, I would totally recommending going back to the old formula for your customers!!!!!!!!!

Wasted my money. No longer holds hair in place.

This used to be the only hairspray that would give my any kind of hold. Just bought 2 cans today and have to say it’s no longer holding my hair. Why on gods earth would you change the formula. Please bring the old formula and can back. They were easier to hold in your hand. These are big and bulky and sadly are not a freezing spray at all.

Horrible new can

The new can is horrible! The increased angle between the spray output and the can held vertical is bad. Can't get top of head without using my thumb to press the nozzle (like a lighter) otherwise all the spray goes OVER the head and onto the wall.

Vavoom hairspray , want the old back

I will probably have to find a new one after many years of using this because when the bottles Changed. I feel like the hairspray changed first of all the spray nozzle keeps sticking down, I have to run it under hot water to use it every time and then hi, don't like the triple freeze. It has a scent and I don't like sense. They give me a headache. Also, if you made travel sizes, that would be great.

the spray nozzle is a HUGE improvement, but the product is terrible. I also tried the "triple freezing spray" as recommended by the Matrix product person replying to these unhappy reviews and it is nothing like the old freezing spray. As one of the other reviewers mentioned, it leaves my hair feeling greasy and has a really unpleasant fragrance.

I've used this since 2008 and whatever happened to the formula when the package changed is awful. I'm looking for a new brand. I use to have all day hold and now I'm lucky to make it outside. Change it back!!

I have been using Vavoom Freezing Spray for many years. Whatever you did to the formula when you changed the packaging is awful. It doesn’t hold and I find I need to wash my hair everyday now because it leaves my hair flat and greasy looking. Unfortunately I will no longer buy this product and after 20 years I have to find a new hairspray.,

I'm a Bridal stylist since 1989.Vavoom freezing spray is the only hairspray I'll use on my brides in and out of the country.Since you changed the packaging something is off...My brides styles aren't staying in place the way they always did.Im gonna have to switch..Too bad because it was legit the best.Hopefully you change it back one day

I agree with other reviewers - this is NOT a good replacement for the spray that I have used for years. The styling gel was great & worked well with the Finishing Spray --- great for short, thin, fine hair. PLEASE ADVISE ON A SUITABLE REPLACEMENT. Thank you.

The old one had so much better hold, not sticky not buildup. The new one has barely any hold heavier sticker please please bring back the old. you know the old saying goes if it’s not broke, don’t fix it.😊

I want to thank everyone for saying this isn't like the original Freezing Spray. You all saved me the $$ and hassle of a return. Why would you change something that is great and that everyone loves?? Bring back the original Freezing spray and while you're at it, bring back the Vavoom Forming Gel. The new gels aren't great either. I refuse to use Matrix anymore because you discontinue products people love and have used for literally years!

Makes my scalp itch terribly!

I have been using Vavoom Freezing Spray Finishing Spray (11 oz.) black can/silver at bottom for as long as I can remember, at least 25 years I'd say. It is perfect. Holds without being too firm and sticky, gives a nice shine, has a mild scent. However you have discontinued this product unfortunately. I've read reviews and many women were using this spray. I tried Vavoom Freezing Spray Extra Hold (15.0 oz) but it makes my scalp itch like crazy with severe irritation. I've never had this with the Finishing Spary. Spoke with Matrix Customer Support and they recommended High Amplify Proforma but I'm afraid I'll have the same scalp irritation. Please bring back the finishing spray. If not, Matrix will be a thing of the past for me as I will have to try and find another brand.

I’ve been a professional Cosmetologist and Makeup Artist for over thirty years. I have to say this epic FAIL goes down in history as the biggest blunder since some fool tried to remake the Coka~Cola formula… It Didn’t Work, and Neither Does This! The product is now inferior and doesn’t hold anything. I will be looking for another brand that knows a good a thing when they have it. And I’ll be letting my clients know I’ll no longer be using this garbage product on them either. Way to Lose your loyal customer base Matrix! 👏🏼 Slow Clap For A STUPID Move!

I like a sleek bun with no flyaways and this product can achieve that. Huge can that will last a long time, just make sure to use a clarifying shampoo regularly because this stuff sticks around.

It lasts for hours and the size of the canister is amazing!! Long lasting for sure.
